Library

Mrs. Criddle and Mrs. Washburn have been very busy keeping the library shelves full of books of all genres and reading levels for our students.  All fiction books and some non-fiction books available are in the Accelerated Reading (AR) system.  The library is a fun, safe space for our students to hang out before school as well as during break and lunch.  They may work on class work, read, hang out or play games (quietly) with friends.  There are 5 computers available for AR testing or class work/research.  
 
The library hosts 2 Scholastic Book Fairs per school year.  The first is in November and another in the spring, please keep a look-out on the school calendar for the dates.  We also offer monthly Scholastic Book Club brochures for students to order from.  Ordering is available online or by returning the order form and payment to the library by the last day of each month (Class Code: NJMP4).

BOX TOPS!

We collect Box Tops for Education.  They are making some changes to Box Tops collecting.  Some items still have Box Tops on the packaging, but they are moving to an app used on your smartphone.  We'll have more information soon.  This is one way we are able to purchase new books and other materials for the library.  For now, students may bring in their Box Tops to the library and shop from the Box Top Shop baskets ranging from 5 BT's - 100+.
 
Would you like to support the library with donations?  We have a wishlist on Amazon with the most current needs/requests of our students.  This list is kept current and items may be shipped directly to McKenney School.
