Application process
Students interested in applying for our AVID program for the upcoming school year will need to complete the following process:
- Decide what teacher/staff member would give you a positive recommendation (You will need this for the application)
- Decide who can support you in filling out the application and preparing you for a possible interview
- Complete the application

Avid adj.: enthusiastic; ardent; characterized by vigorous pursuit [ L avidus, eager for knowledge]
AVID is a college readiness system for grades six through twelve that empowers students to succeed in a rigorous academic curriculum.
The goal of AVID is to educate the whole student by unifying six important elements of education: students, curriculum, faculty, skills, parents, and community.
The AVID curriculum includes instruction in WICOR strategies, study skills, organizational skills, communication skills, writing, test-taking strategies, personal development, and team-building.
Do you have a strong desire to go to college? Are you a first generation college bound student? Are you ready for the rigors of advanced coursework? Are you ready to commit to becoming the best version of yourself?
